A welcome message is a friendly way to greet members when they log in. This article shows how to switch it on, edit it, and what members see.
Where to find it
Go to the Admin Panel > Settings > General, and scroll to the Welcome Message section at the bottom of the page.
Switching it on or off
Use the toggle to show or hide the welcome message on the Home page. When the toggle is off, the banner doesn't show at all.
Editing the message
There's a default message you can edit to suit your community. As you type:
You have a 500-character limit.
A live character count shows how much space you have left.
What members see
Members see the welcome message as a banner at the top of the Home page when they log in, with the option to dismiss it.
📝 Note: If you change the message later, members will see it again - even those who had already dismissed it by clicking the X in their platform view.
