Release notes

Written by Sevgi Sairoglu Sezginer

August 11, 2026

The work in this release ran from 20 April to 11 August. It brings measures, a rebuilt Organisations area, commitment delivery, the Delivery report, donations and two new opportunity types, alongside a long list of improvements.

Some of what follows is turned on per app. If you can't see something, that's usually why - just ask and we'll take a look.

New in this release

Measures and measure logs

Three things sit in a chain: an indicator, a measure, and a measure log.

Indicators are the building blocks - what's counted and how it's counted. There are 26 in the library, covering things like volunteering hours, attendance hours, jobs created and cash donated. Each carries a unit and decides whether delivery against it is recorded automatically or by hand. You choose which ones your app uses in (Settings > Data & Categories). You can't add your own, and an indicator can be switched off again as long as nothing has been logged against it.

Measures are the named things you track, each built on one indicator. "Community volunteer hours" and "Expert volunteering" might both sit on the volunteering hours indicator but carry different values. A measure can set a value per unit, used to work out what delivery is worth. It can carry a cause, or none - a measure with no cause is available on any Activity, while one with a cause only appears on Activities with a matching cause. Add measures one at a time from (Measurement > Measures), or import a list.

Measure logs record what was actually delivered. They arrive two ways:

  • Automatically, where the measure sits on an indicator that tracks volunteer hours or donations. Log hours or a donation against a linked Activity and the measure log is created for you.

  • By hand, on the Log Measure form. Whether a manual log counts straight away or waits for review is up to you, set in (Settings > Permissions). With approval required, logs land pending and an admin approves or declines them from the listing.

Every log, automatic or manual, sits in (Measurement > Measure Logs), filterable by measure, tracking mode and status, and exportable.

Setting a value. Delivered value is units delivered multiplied by the value per unit. That value is set in one place only. Usually it sits on the measure itself, which is how measures from a framework like TOMs arrive. If the measure doesn't carry one, you set it on the commitment instead, or on the Activity where there's no commitment involved. Wherever it's set, the other places show it read-only, so it can't be entered twice by mistake.

You don't have to set a value at all. Leave it blank and delivery is tracked as a count, with the monetary figures simply not appearing.

Measures can be used on their own, without contracts. Turn it on in (Settings > Features & Documents).

A note on frameworks: where you use TOMs, HACT or a similar valuation set, you import and licence it yourself. Goodsted stores your measures and does the arithmetic, but the values are yours.

Organisations and contacts

The Organisations area has been rebuilt. It has the same name and a familiar layout, but it's a new page in a new place doing a different job, so it's worth a read even if you've used the old one.

Where it is. (Engagement > Organisations). This is a new page and it starts empty. The old admin Organisations listing has come out of the menu, so if you already had organisations on the platform you won't find them here yet. Those records are safe, and your member-facing organisations directory is unaffected. We'll migrate them into the new area for you and we'll be in touch before we do. We'll also send you a copy of your existing organisations by email, in case you need them in the meantime.

What it holds. Every organisation you work with, filed under one of the organisational stakeholder types you've defined - suppliers, clients, charity partners, whatever fits how you work. The listing shows each organisation's name, type, location and status, along with an ID you can copy with one click. You can search by name or ID and filter by type or status.

Adding organisations. Add one at a time from the Actions menu, setting its stakeholder type, name, and optionally its legal type, organisation type, sector, location and website. Where a stakeholder type restricts which legal types or sectors are allowed, the dropdowns narrow to match. Or import a spreadsheet, with each row carrying the stakeholder type ID it belongs to.

Contacts. Each organisation now has its own contacts list on its detail page - the people you deal with there. Add them individually or import a spreadsheet of contacts across several organisations at once, referencing each organisation by its ID. Contacts can be edited and removed, and each has an ID of its own.

These are records, not accounts. Adding an organisation doesn't invite anyone or create a login. It gives you somewhere to attribute delivery, name a contract counterparty, and record who donated what. Inviting organisations to register and work alongside you in the platform is the next release, coming soon.

Contracts and commitments

A contract records a commercial agreement with another organisation. A commitment is one of the specific social value things you've agreed to deliver under it.

This is the commitment delivery module, turned on per app. Measures comes on with it, since commitments are built on measures.

Before you start you'll need your stakeholder types set up and the organisation on the other side of the contract added, both covered above.

Building a contract. From (Delivery > Contracts). Start by setting your role, because everything else follows from it. If you're the client, your counterparty is a supplier; if you're the supplier, your counterparty is a client, and the organisation dropdown only offers the right kind. Then set the contract source, the contract value and the social value percentage - the target value is worked out for you. Name a lead on your side, and a lead on the counterparty's side from their contacts.

Adding commitments. Each commitment carries a title, a cause, a due date, a measure and a target in units. If the measure already has a value per unit the commitment inherits it and shows it read-only; if it doesn't, you set it here. Target value is the target units multiplied by that figure. A running total shows committed value against the contract's target as you go, and flags if you're under. Commitments can be added while you're building the contract or afterwards.

Contracts and commitments can also be bulk imported, with each row of the template a commitment and rows sharing a contract number grouped into one contract.

Delivering against a commitment. Delivery happens on Activities. Create an Activity, set its cause, then link it to a contract and a commitment. The commitment's measure comes across automatically. An Activity, a commitment and a contract link one to one, so if the same work serves two commitments, you create two Activities. Activities can be bulk imported with their commitment already attached.

From there, every approved measure log on that Activity counts towards the commitment. Delivered units are the sum of approved logs. Progress is delivered against target, capped at 100%, and a commitment stamps as completed the first time it crosses the line. Health reads as not started, on track, at risk, overdue or completed, worked out from progress and due date rather than set by hand.

On the contract, commitment progress is the average across its commitments, and social value progress is delivered value against the contract's target value.

Leads. Someone can be made a lead on a contract without being an admin. Leads land on the Delivery report when they sign in, see only the contracts they're named on, and get a narrowed menu covering delivery, engagement and measurement. They have full edit on their own contracts. Anyone who's already a full admin keeps the full admin view.

One current limitation. Volunteer hours can only be logged against a volunteer, and volunteers are members of your app. If you're recording delivery on behalf of a supplier whose people aren't on the platform, you can log their measures by hand and attribute donations to them through the donor field, but not their volunteer hours. That's part of the collaboration work coming in the next release.

The Delivery report

A new report at (Reports > Delivery), available once commitment delivery is on.

The top row is the whole picture: how many contracts and commitments you hold, overall commitment progress, and your social value target. The second row is what was delivered in the period you've selected - volunteer hours, monetary donations, in-kind donation value and delivered value.

Below that, health cards break commitments down by status, and clicking one takes you to that set. A bar chart shows delivery over time and can switch between counts and delivered value, and a donut breaks delivery down by cause. You can filter the whole report by organisation, by contract and by directorate.

The Delivery report and the Engagement report answer different questions. Engagement covers volunteering, participation and donations. Delivery covers what you've committed to and how far along you are. Volunteer hours that also feed a measure appear in both - as hours on one, and through their measure on the other.

Donations

Admins and members can log donations against an Activity. There are five types: money, recorded as an amount, and materials, equipment, space and service, each recorded as a quantity multiplied by a value per unit. Total value is worked out for you, and everything uses your app's default currency.

Members see what they've logged in a Donations section on their dashboard. Admins get the full listing at (Measurement > Donations) with search, filters, edit, delete and export.

You can require approval before donations count, set in (Settings > Permissions). With approval on, pending donations appear in the listing and can be approved or declined from the row.

Donations record a donor, and the donor list draws from the organisations in your app - so you can attribute a donation to a supplier or partner without them needing a login. Where the Activity carries a matching measure, logging a donation also generates a measure log automatically.

Donation metrics have been added to the Engagement report.

Log Donations is turned on per app in (Settings > Features & Documents).

In-kind and funding opportunities

Two new opportunity types sit alongside volunteering and learning.

An in-kind opportunity asks for goods or services. A funding opportunity asks for money and shows a target, with pledges tracked against it so everyone can see how close you are. Members find and apply to both the same way they apply to anything else.

When the lead marks either one complete, a donation log is created automatically with the applicant recorded as the donor. Where the Activity carries a matching measure, that in turn generates a measure log. Both types need Log Donations switched on.

Sponsorship opportunities are now called funding opportunities, and the list of opportunity types your app offers has moved to (Settings > Data & Categories).

✨ Improvements and changes

What's been renamed

  • The Overview report is now the Engagement report. It does the same job - volunteering, participation and donations - and now sits under Reports alongside the new Delivery report, so the names say which is which.

  • Logged hours are now volunteer hours, across the platform. In the admin panel the page is called Volunteer Hour Logs.

  • Participants are now volunteers. The listing and every place the word appeared have changed to match.

  • Member types are now individual stakeholder types, sitting alongside organisational stakeholder types in Settings.

  • Sponsorship opportunities are now funding opportunities.

Activities

  • Activities are the delivery layer. Opportunities, volunteer hours, donations and measure logs all sit under an Activity, so a piece of work and everything it produced stay together. Activities can be archived, and archiving one archives the opportunities and logs beneath it. The listing is sorted by date, and log dates are restricted to the Activity's own window so nothing is recorded outside it.

  • An Activity's status now follows its opportunities rather than being set by hand. If an Activity has one opportunity and that opportunity is marked complete, the Activity is completed too. If you need to add more work to it later, reopen the Activity and link the new opportunities.

  • Activities can be linked to a contract and a commitment, and imported in bulk with the link already in place. Where an Activity is linked, the commitment and contract show on the pickers you see when posting an opportunity or logging a donation, measure or hours, so it's clear what the work is counting towards.

  • Leads can see key metrics on their Activity, with a date filter to narrow the view to the period they're reporting on.

Opportunities

Closing an opportunity

  • Cancelling and archiving are now clearly separate. Archiving is for an opportunity that shouldn't have been posted - it's only available while an opportunity is open with no volunteers signed up. Once anyone has joined, cancel it instead. Cancelling withdraws the volunteers along with the opportunity and emails them to let them know, so nobody turns up to something that isn't happening. In short: archive a mistake, cancel a plan that has fallen through.

  • A new "Not Completed" status. When you close an opportunity you mark each volunteer as having taken part or not. If at least one person took part, the opportunity is completed. If nobody did, it's recorded as Not Completed rather than being completed with nothing behind it, or archived to get it out of the way. Flexible opportunities that run over time will ask you to resolve each volunteer before closing.

  • Marking an opportunity complete now confirms the date and time first. For a fixed-date opportunity the details are filled in and you can edit them if the day ran differently; for a flexible one you enter them or skip the step.

  • Archived opportunities no longer disappear for the people who took part. Previously anyone following a link to an archived opportunity hit a "page doesn't exist" message, including volunteers looking back at their own hours. Now, if you applied or logged hours against it, the page opens read-only with a banner explaining it's been archived, so your record of what you did stays intact. Anyone with no involvement still sees the standard message.

Posting

  • Admins can duplicate an opportunity from the admin panel listing. Details, host, privacy, documents, appearance, the linked Activity and the measure carry over. Timing and capacity are cleared so you set them fresh, and no applications or engagement data come with it.

  • Where an Activity carries measures that track hours, the Post Opportunity form asks which one the opportunity is measuring. With one match it fills in for you; with more than one you choose, and the hours logged then feed that measure.

  • Admins can see all directorates and teams when posting an opportunity, rather than only their own.

  • Opportunity documents are configurable. Add up to five PDF templates with your own labels in (Settings > Features & Documents), and choose whether the upload section appears on the Post Opportunity form. This replaces the old fixed risk assessment setup.

  • The affiliation field has been removed from the apply forms.

Finding and sharing

  • Filtered views on the opportunities page can now be shared. As you filter, the page address updates to match what you're looking at, so you can copy the link and send it to a colleague and it opens on the same view. Refreshing keeps your filters, and the browser's back and forward buttons step through the filters you've applied.

  • Leads can see key metrics for their opportunity on its engagement tab.

  • Learning hours are no longer counted in the main engagement totals, so the figures reflect volunteering.

Volunteer hours

  • Quick Log templates let you save a set of hours you log regularly and reuse it, so recurring volunteering takes seconds rather than filling the form each time.

  • You can create an Activity inline while logging, without leaving the form.

  • Where the Activity you pick carries more than one measure tracking hours, the form asks which one the hours count towards. Logging through an opportunity doesn't ask, because it already knows from the opportunity.

  • The admin listing shows approval status for approved, declined and pending logs, and has Cause and Description columns.

Reports and exports

  • The Engagement report can be filtered by directorate, so you can see one part of the organisation on its own or compare across them.

  • Charts and metric cards are clickable. Selecting one takes you to the underlying records rather than leaving you to find them.

  • Donation metrics have been added.

  • The Activities, Opportunities and Volunteer Hours exports have been restructured. Dates and times are in separate columns, the volunteer hours export has been rebuilt to match the current log form, and latitude, longitude and Measure columns have been added. The Members export now shows whether a member has accepted your terms.

Settings

  • Stakeholder types have been restructured. What used to be a single flat list of member types is now two lists. Individual stakeholder types are your old member types - colleagues, students, residents, whatever fits - and they're what someone chooses from when they sign up to your app. Organisational stakeholder types are new, and they're what you file organisations under in your Organisations listing - suppliers, clients, charity partners. You add as many of each as you need and name them how your organisation names them. Each type gets its own ID, which you use when importing organisations so each one is filed correctly.

  • Each stakeholder type is configured separately. For an individual type you set the invite and welcome messages people of that type see, and how they sign in - email and password, single sign-on, or both. For an organisational type you set which legal types, organisation types and sectors are available to them. Leave those unticked to allow everything.

  • Welcome messages. Each individual stakeholder type can have its own welcome message, set in that type's configuration. It shows as a banner on the home page when someone of that type signs in, so colleagues and students can be greeted differently. Edit the message and it reappears for anyone who had dismissed the previous one.

  • Volunteering value. You can set a monetary value per hour of volunteering, and set a different value per member type where your people's time is valued differently. It feeds the value figures in your reporting.

  • Volunteering leave. Many organisations give their employees an allowance of paid time off to volunteer. Turn this on and internal stakeholder types get a checkbox when they apply to an opportunity, so they can say they're using their volunteering leave for it.

  • Volunteering policy. You can set a policy or agreement for your app, shown at signup for new members to accept, with acceptance tracked.

  • Opportunity types have moved to (Settings > Data & Categories), where you choose which ones your app offers.

  • Approval rules for volunteer hours, donations and manual measure logs are each set separately in (Settings > Permissions).

Members and structure

  • Members are now held in both a directorate and a team where both apply, so reporting by either is accurate. Adding someone to a team adds them to the parent directorate automatically, and the member import handles directorate and team columns.

Location

  • Activities and opportunities now have their own postcode field, sitting just under the location. Drop a pin on the map and the postcode fills in for you. If you'd rather search for a place and pick it from the list, you can type the postcode in yourself - it isn't filled in automatically that way. Either way you can edit it, and it shows alongside the location on the page.

  • You can set which countries location search covers for your app, so people only see places relevant to you.

  • Latitude, longitude and postcode are included in the Activities and Opportunities exports.

Notifications

  • There's a full-page notifications view, so you can scroll back through everything rather than only seeing the most recent few.

  • In-app notification copy has been rewritten to be clearer about what happened and what to do next.

  • Email notifications have been tidied up so people get the ones that matter to them.

  • Imported members receive email and push notifications once they've signed in for the first time.

The admin panel menu has been reorganised

The left-hand menu was a single flat list of thirteen pages. It's now grouped into sections you can open and close, so you can go straight to the part of the platform you're working in.

The groups, and what sits under each:

  • Reports - Engagement and Delivery. The Overview report now lives here, renamed Engagement.

  • Structure - Members, Groups and Directorates. If you've given directorates your own name, the menu uses it.

  • Delivery - Contracts, Commitments, Initiatives and Activities.

  • Engagement - Opportunities, Applications, Volunteers, Feedback Forms and Organisations.

  • Measurement - Volunteer Hour Logs, Donation Logs, Measures and Measure Logs.

  • Settings - a single page, as before.

Every group except Settings has a chevron beside it. You can have as many open at once as you like, and the section you're currently working in opens automatically and stays open while you're in it. Your open sections are remembered while you're signed in.

Anything your app doesn't use stays out of the menu. If you don't have commitment delivery on, for instance, Contracts, Commitments and the Delivery report don't appear, and a section with nothing in it doesn't show at all.

User dashboard

  • An Applications table has been added, sitting between Opportunities and Volunteer Hours, with its own link in the dashboard menu. It has two tabs. Sent is everything you've applied to. Received is everything people have applied to on opportunities you lead - who applied, which opportunity, their directorate and organisation, when they applied and where it got to. Both tabs have a search and a status filter for pending, accepted, declined and completed. Clicking an opportunity name takes you straight to its Volunteers tab, already filtered to that status, so you can act on the application without hunting for it.

  • A Donations table has been added at the foot of the dashboard, also with its own menu link. It lists everything you've logged - date, amount, type, description, the Activity it counts towards, and whether it's approved, pending or declined - and you can log a new donation from there.

🦟 Bug fixes

  • Archived Activities can no longer be selected when logging donations or hours.

  • The opportunity dropdown on the Log Volunteer Hours form now shows the right opportunities for the way you're logging, and the volunteers dropdown fills correctly.

  • Applications by status on the Engagement report shows correct figures.

  • Duplicate directorates can no longer be created.

  • Terminology in the apply flow and the inbox is consistent, using "application" throughout.

✨ New Features

Activities

  • Activities are live as the new delivery layer above Opportunities. Every Opportunity belongs to an Activity, giving you a single place to plan, group, and report on related work. To familiarise yourself better with the Activities section, read our articles on the help center.

  • A new Activities listing page is available in the admin panel, with columns for name, host, cause, dates, location, lead, and status. You can search, filter by status, change status manually, edit the activity, and reassign the lead from a single view. (Admin Panel > Activities)

  • When posting an Opportunity, you can link it to an existing Activity or create a new one inline. The activity dropdown is searchable and shows a summary of dates, location, initiative, and cause when one is selected. Cause and beneficiaries are inherited from the linked Activity.

  • The Activity detail page includes Opportunities, Volunteer Hours, and Participants tabs, so you can see everything connected to a single Activity in one place.

  • You can log volunteer hours directly against an Activity, without needing to link it to an Opportunity. The log hours form has been updated to ask how the volunteering was arranged - participating through an Opportunity, organising or leading an Activity, or other arrangements such as external roles, self-led work, or pre-arranged programmes.

  • The user dashboard has been updated to support Activities. The page shows an Activities table alongside Opportunities and Volunteer Hours, with cleaner navigation and an updated layout. (Dashboard > Activities)

  • Historical Opportunities have been backfilled. Every existing Opportunity is linked to an Activity, so all past records sit correctly inside the new structure and continue to appear in your reporting.

Activity Forms

  • The host dropdown on Activity forms only shows Directorate, Team, and Group. Initiatives have been moved to a separate Initiative connection field.

  • The start date on the Create Activity form accepts past, present, and future dates, so you can backdate Activities for work that has already happened. End date validation is unchanged. Opportunity dates remain restricted to today or later. (Profile Dropdown > Create Activity)

🦟 Bug Fixes

Opportunities

  • The Save button on Edit Opportunity no longer stays greyed out after the date is changed - it now activates immediately, without needing to edit another field first.

  • After editing an Opportunity in the admin panel, you now stay in the admin view rather than being redirected to the public opportunity page.

Volunteer Hours

  • Opportunity Leads who have answered "Yes" to volunteering on the opportunity form now appear in the participants dropdown on the log hours form, so their hours can be logged alongside other participants.

Forms

  • Required field highlighting on the Create Activity and Post Opportunity forms has been restored, so when you try to submit with missing fields, the form now flags exactly which ones need to be completed.

Admin Panel - Overview

  • Hours linked to archived Opportunities and archived Members are now correctly excluded from the Overview metrics card, export sheet, and hours bar graph for the selected timeframe.

  • The Hours card on the Overview now updates immediately when a volunteer hours entry is edited in the same session, rather than showing the previous cached value.

  • The Top 10 Participants table now respects the selected date range, in line with the rest of the Overview tables.

  • Overview metrics now apply archive-aware date filtering across registered members, active members, participants, hours, value, the overview graph, opportunities by status, engagement rankings, members breakdown, most shared skills, causes supported, top 10 participants, opportunities with most engagement, and latest feedback forms. Members who were active during the selected period are now counted correctly even if they have since been archived.

✨ Improvements and Changes

Admin Panel & Permissions

  • Admin Panel settings now include the ability to configure exceptions for opportunity approval requirements. When "Require admin approval" is enabled for posting opportunities, administrators can now whitelist specific member types that will be auto-approved and won't need admin approval. This allows specific member types to post opportunities without creating unnecessary approval bottlenecks whilst maintaining oversight for other users. (Settings > Permissions > Posting Opportunities > Exceptions)

  • Improved clarity of permission settings text across the Permissions tab. Labels now read "Allow without approval" and "Require admin approval" for easier comprehension.

  • Updated Member Directory settings description to more accurately reflect its function. The toggle now clearly states that it controls the visibility of a public Member Directory on the homepage, rather than implying it affects member registration functionality. (Settings > Key Features > Members)

Opportunities & Applications

  • Updated terminology across the application flow from "offer/support" to "application" for consistency. The Apply button now says "Apply", confirmation messages refer to "your application has been sent", and pending state notifications now read "You will be notified when your application is reviewed."

  • Inbox message labels for opportunity applications now display the specific opportunity type (Volunteering, Sponsorship, or Learning) instead of the generic "Offering Support" label, making it easier to identify application types at a glance.

  • Improved required field validation feedback in the Post Opportunity form. The Post Opportunity button now remains active, and when clicked with incomplete required fields, the form clearly highlights missing fields with red outlines and displays helpful validation messages, making it easier to see which fields need to be completed.

🦟 Bug Fixes

Archived Users

  • Improved the handling of archived users throughout the platform. Archived users no longer appear in the Add Participants dropdown for opportunities, preventing inconsistent capacity counts. Additionally, archived users are now properly hidden from member lists in Directorates, Teams, Organisations, Groups, and Initiatives in both admin and user-facing views.

✨ Improvements and Changes

Admin Panel - Settings & Configuration

  • Skills list can now be configured directly from the admin panel. Admins can customise which skills appear throughout the platform by selecting and deselecting from the master skills list in settings (Settings > Data & Categories > Skills).

  • Beneficiary groups list can now be configured from the admin panel. Admins can customise which beneficiary groups appear throughout the platform by selecting and deselecting from the master beneficiaries list in settings (Settings > Data & Categories > Beneficiary Groups).

  • Directorate and team terminology can now be customised from the admin panel to match your organisation's specific wording preferences (Settings > General > Internal Structure).

Opportunity Creation

  • The platform now automatically calculates the total required hours when creating an opportunity with a set date and time. As you enter start and end times, the total hours are calculated in real-time and displayed in the commitment section, ensuring accuracy and saving time.

Volunteer Hour Logging

  • Added flexibility to how volunteers log their completed hours. Users can now choose to either manually enter their total hours or let the system automatically calculate hours based on selected start and end times.

Data Export & Reporting

  • Volunteer hours, applications, and participants export sheets now include a new column showing whether each user is archived or active, making it easier to filter and analyse user data.

  • Export file names have been standardised across all report types, removing "Ecosystem" from the naming convention. Files now follow the format: Goodsted_Reports-[ReportType]-[Timestamp] for consistency and clarity.

  • Opportunity export sheet now correctly displays opportunity types (Volunteering, Sponsorship, or Learning) in the Type column, and includes a new Main Skill column. The Lead Directorate, Lead Team, and Lead Member Type columns have been repositioned between Lead Email and Location for improved readability.

🦟 Bug Fixes

Data Export & Reporting

  • Fixed formatting issues in feedback forms export. The experience rating column now displays correctly as "3/5" format instead of being auto-converted to dates like "3May" when opened in Excel, and all data fields are now properly aligned in their correct columns.

✨ Improvements and Changes

Admin Panel & Reporting

  • The members export has been updated with dedicated Group and Initiative columns (replacing the Entity column) for clarity and now includes members’ skills information for richer member data.

  • The volunteer hours export now includes Member’s Team, Opportunity Type (Volunteering, Sponsorship, or Learning), an Opportunity Beneficiary column, and an Opportunity Time column alongside the Opportunity Date column.

  • The applications export now displays the completion date and time, showing exactly when participants reached Completed status.

  • The volunteer hours export now shows whether linked opportunities are Active or Archived.

Members & User Management

  • The members listing page in the app now displays all members in a single unified list, with subheading categorisations removed.

  • Admin status can now be granted or removed directly from the Actions menu on the members listing page, without needing to navigate to Edit Account. From the three dots in the Action column, admin status can be granted by selecting Make Admin, or removed by selecting Remove admin.

🦟 Bug Fixes

Opportunities

  • In the Post Opportunity form, the Post Opportunity button is now disabled by default and becomes active once all mandatory fields have been filled.

  • The Host dropdown when editing an opportunity now correctly displays the organisations and directorates that the opportunity lead belongs to, rather than the user’s.

Feedback Forms

  • Feedback forms now display the opportunity name at the top for clarity when providing feedback for multiple participants.

Directorates & Teams

  • Directorates and teams creation now works correctly when uploading an image.

February 04, 2026

✨ Improvements and Changes

Opportunities

  • Post opportunity form has been streamlined into a single page, allowing users to complete it faster without navigating through multiple steps.

  • When adding participants to opportunities, you can now add individuals who aren't yet registered users on the platform, making it easier to plan ahead and invite new members.

  • Opportunities export has been improved: the "Number of Attendees" column has been renamed to "Number of Participants", and a new "Number of Applicants" column has been added, providing visibility into how many people applied to each opportunity before being accepted as participants.

Admin Panel & Reporting

  • Feedback form behaviour has been improved to prevent duplicate submissions: each participant's feedback form can now only be completed once. When any admin submits a feedback form, the "Give feedback" button disappears from all admins' views for that participant.

  • If an admin submits feedback on behalf of an Opportunity Lead, it is correctly attributed to the Opportunity Lead in the interface.

  • Feedback Forms export now includes a "Completed by" column that shows which admin actually submitted the form, whilst the "Member Name" field displays the Opportunity Lead's name, providing full transparency and proper record-keeping.

  • Top 10 participants table now includes an "Affiliation" column showing each participant's organisation/group/initiative.

  • Search bar filtering in the Feedback Forms section has been improved for more accurate results when searching by Member, Opportunity, or Feedback For.

Organisations & Initiatives

  • Newly created groups, initiatives, and organisations now appear immediately without requiring a page refresh.

Directorates & Teams

  • Newly created teams now appear immediately in the interface without requiring a page refresh.

✨ Improvements and Changes

Admin Panel & Reporting

  • Improved visual appearance across multiple admin sections (Members, Organisations, Initiatives, Groups, Applications, and Opportunities) when dealing with long text entries. Action buttons are now easier to find and the interface handles lengthy content more gracefully.

  • Created a new 'Participants' listing page where administrators can easily view the total volunteer hours for each member at a glance.

  • Members can now be imported into the ecosystem via document upload, streamlining the onboarding process for bulk additions.

Data Export & Reporting

  • Opportunities export sheet now includes additional timestamp columns: Verified At, In Progress At, Completed At, and Archived At, Unarchived At, providing better tracking of opportunity lifecycle stages.

  • Members export now displays membership verification status, clearly showing which members' applications have been accepted or declined by administrators.

Volunteer Hours

  • Log hours form now features improved conditional validation for the "What did you do?" field. When an opportunity is selected, this question becomes optional; when no opportunity is selected, the field remains mandatory.

🦟 Bug Fixes

Admin Panel

  • Fixed issue on the volunteer hours listing page where editing existing log entries did not work correctly. The edit form now properly pre-populates with the volunteer's existing log data, and changes can be saved successfully to update the entry.

✨ Improvements and Changes

Admin Panel & Reporting

  • Opportunity engagement date has been added to the "Opportunities with Most Engagement" table and "Latest Feedback Forms" table, providing better visibility into when engagement occurred.

  • Opportunities export spreadsheet now includes separate "Hours" and "Minutes" columns for improved time tracking and data analysis.

  • Replaced "New Members" card with "Registered Members" card in the Overview dashboard's top metrics for faster view of total number of members. New members metric is still available from the bar graph dropdown.

  • Visual appearance of feedback forms in the Admin Panel has been improved to better handle long text entries, ensuring content remains readable and well-formatted.

Data Exports

  • Applications export spreadsheet now includes the acceptance date field, enabling better tracking of application timelines.

Home & Navigation

  • Date filtering on the homepage now supports date range selection, making it easier to view activities and opportunities within specific time periods instead of selecting a single date.

    • Log Type: Indicates if the log was created manually by a user or automatically by the system when an opportunity is marked complete.

    • Log Added By: Identifies who created the log, even if it's done on behalf of another user.

  • Improved registration experience: When users register an organisation while posting an opportunity, the registration form now opens in a new tab. This keeps the opportunity form intact, and the newly registered organisation appears in the dropdown when they return.

  • Decline reason option added: Leads can now state reasons for declining applications via both the Participants section and the Inbox.

  • Required field warning: Added a “This is a required field” warning in the log engagement form to clarify mandatory fields.

Fixed Issues

  • News feed auto-update: Fixed an issue where auto-updates in the News Feed were getting stuck due to a backend problem. Now, updates are visible as intended.

  • Support status update: Resolved an issue where support status mistakenly showed as completed if leads filled out feedback for incomplete supports.

  • Member registration slowness: Fixed slowness issues when approving multiple member registrations, caused by a backend optimisation problem. The system can now efficiently handle over 1,000,000 member registrations.

  • Log engagement form bug: Fixed a bug where users couldn’t add organisation details if they initially selected an opportunity and then removed it. Now, users are redirected to the organisation details page when they remove the opportunity.

Mobile App Updates

  • Homepage alignment: Opportunities are moved to the top of the mobile app's homepage to align with the web platform.
