If you need to add a lot of members at once, the bulk import tool lets you upload them from a CSV file - and assign them to Directorates and Teams in the same step. This article walks through the template, the rules, and what happens after import.
Where to find Import Members
Go to the Admin Panel > Members and click the Import button.
The CSV template
The template has 6 columns: First name, Last name, Email, Member type, [Directorate label] and [Team label].
📝 Note: The Directorate and Team column headers use your app's configured terminology - for example "Region" and "Branch" - so they may not read literally as "Directorate" and "Team."
Column rules
Member type is required, and must exactly match an existing member type in your app.
Directorate and Team are optional.
If any row has a Directorate value, every row must have one (no blanks).
The same rule applies to Team.
Team can only be filled in if Directorate is also filled in.
Directorate and Team names must exactly match existing Directorates and Teams in your app.
Validation
If any row has an error, the entire file is rejected and the error messages are listed, so you can fix and re-upload.
After a successful import
Members are immediately assigned to the correct Directorate and Team.
⚠️ Important: No notifications are sent automatically - you'll need to inform the new members yourself.
