If your app requires opportunities to be approved before they go live, new submissions wait for an admin's decision. This article explains how pending opportunities appear and how to approve or decline them.
When opportunity approval applies
This process only applies when opportunity approval is switched on for your app. When it's on, an opportunity posted by a member isn't published immediately - it's held as Pending until an admin reviews it.
Where pending opportunities appear
Pending opportunities appear in the Admin Panel under the Opportunities listing (the table view), marked with a Pending status so you can spot what's waiting for review. The approve and decline actions sit in the Actions column on the right of each row.
How to approve or decline
Open the Opportunities listing page in the Admin Panel.
Find the pending opportunity and look at the Actions column on the right of its row.
Click the green tick to approve and publish it to the community, or the red cross to decline it.
You can open the opportunity first if you'd like to review its details before deciding.
What the lead sees after a decision
Once you make a decision, the opportunity lead can see the outcome - an approved opportunity becomes visible to the community, while a declined one is not published. The lead is also notified either way, so they know whether their opportunity was approved or declined.
