How to read donation metrics on the Engagement report

Logged by hand, using the Log Donation form - an admin or member records a Money, Materials, Equipment, Space or Service donation directly (see How to log a donation).

Generated automatically, when an in-kind donation or funding opportunity is marked complete - the applicant becomes the donor and a donation log is created without anyone filling in the form (see How in-kind and funding opportunities create donation logs).

Logged Donations - the count of every approved donation logged in the period, of any type.
​ Example: in March you log a £500 Money donation from a corporate sponsor, an Equipment donation of 5 laptops from a supplier, and a Funding opportunity completes and auto-generates a £200 donation log. Logged Donations for March = 3.

Money Donated - the total of the Amount field across all approved Money-type donations in the period.
​ Example: a £500 sponsorship plus a £250 fundraiser donation logged in the same period gives Money Donated = £750.

In-Kind Items - the total quantity donated across the four in-kind types (Materials, Equipment, Space, Service), summing each donation's Quantity field.
​ Example: 100 backpacks (Materials, Quantity 100) plus 5 laptops (Equipment, Quantity 5) gives In-Kind Items = 105.
​ 📌 This card adds together quantities from different units (items, hours, sessions) into one number - confirm this is how it's calculated on your app before publishing, since some teams may expect it to count donation entries rather than summed quantity.

In-Kind Value - the total value of in-kind donations, i.e. the sum of each donation's Total Value (Quantity × Unit Value) across Materials, Equipment, Space and Service.
​ Example: 100 backpacks at £5 each (£500) + 5 laptops at £300 each (£1,500) + a hall booked for 2 sessions at £100 each (£200) + 10 hours of consulting at £50/hr (£500) = In-Kind Value of £2,700.
