The whole donations feature sits behind one per-app setting called Log Donations. It's off by default. This article shows an admin how to turn it on and what it controls.
Where to find it
Go to the Admin Panel and open (Settings › Features & Documents), then turn on Log Donations.
What turning it on unlocks
While Log Donations is off, everything to do with donations is hidden: the Donations listing and nav item, the Log Donation form, the dashboard Donations component, the activity Donations tab and its metric cards, the donation cards on your report, and the donor fields. Turning it on brings them all back.
📌 Note: Turning it off never deletes anything - your logged donations reappear when you turn it back on.
⚠️ Important: Log Donations is interlocked with the In-kind donation and Funding opportunity types. Turning either type on turns Log Donations on automatically, and you can't turn Log Donations off while either type is in use.
