If you have a lot to set up, you can import contracts and commitments in bulk. This article shows how, including what to prepare beforehand and how the template is structured.
Before you start
Import your organisations first, from the Organisations page. The contracts you import reference these organisations, so they need to exist before you upload.
Set up your Measures library first, from the Measures page. Each commitment in your file needs a Measure ID, so your measures need to be created in advance. See How to add, import and edit measures for details.
How to import
Go to the Admin Panel and open (Delivery › Contracts).
Click Actions, then Import.
Choose your role:
We are the client - importing contracts with your suppliers.
We are the supplier - importing contracts with your clients.
Click Continue.
Download the template - it includes all required and optional columns, with example data.
Fill in your contracts and commitments following the template, then upload the file.
📌 Note: The contracts you import belong to your organisation - you manage them and have full edit control. The other organisation named on the contract gets a view-only copy and can log delivery against it.
How the template is structured
Each row in your spreadsheet is one commitment. Rows that share the same Contract Number are grouped together into a single contract - so a contract with several commitments means several rows with the same Contract Number.
You'll need a few IDs from your Admin Panel to fill in the template: Org IDs (from Organisations), Member IDs (from Members), Contact IDs (from the organisation's Contacts tab), and Measure IDs (from Measures). Have these to hand before you start filling in rows.
