You can control whether logged donations count straight away or wait for admin review. This article explains the setting and how it behaves.
Where to find it
Go to the Admin Panel > Settings > Permissions. Look for the Logging donations section (directly below the renamed Logging volunteer hours section).
The two options
Allow without approval (default) - donations are saved as Approved immediately.
Require admin approval - donations are saved as Pending until an admin reviews them.
📝 Note: When approval is on, all admins can approve - including the admin who logged the donation. Self-approval is allowed.
How changing the setting affects existing donations
Only future donations follow the new setting. Existing donations keep their current status, so switching approval on won't retroactively set past donations to Pending.
📝 Note: The previous "Logging engagement" section was renamed to Logging volunteer hours. The options are the same and there's no change in behaviour.
