If you run similar opportunities regularly, duplicating an existing one is a quick way to reuse its details. This article explains where to find the Duplicate action, what carries over, and what you'll need to set fresh.
Where to find Duplicate
Go to the Admin Panel and open the Opportunities listing.
Find the opportunity you want to copy and click the three-dot menu on its row.
Click Duplicate (you'll find it between Edit page and Edit lead).
What gets copied
The duplicate carries over most of the original's content:
Title (prefixed with "Duplicate of")
Host
Details and description
Privacy setting
Purpose - cause and beneficiary groups
Practicalities - skills and accessibility
Documents and appearance (image)
The linked Activity and measure attribution
What gets cleared
Some fields are intentionally left blank so you can set them fresh for the new run:
Schedule / timing
Parameters - involvement, capacity, location and deadline
What doesn't carry over at all
Anything tied to the original's participants stays with the original: applications, sign-ups, attendance and engagement data are not copied.
After you duplicate
Whether the new opportunity needs approval depends on your app settings. If opportunity approval is turned on for posting, the duplicate is created in Pending status, just like any newly posted opportunity. If approval is turned off, the duplicate is automatically approved. Either way, the listing resets to page 1 with your new opportunity at the top.
