When a user logs their engagement, both admins and opportunity lead can approve this log.
Admin sees this from the panel > Logged Hours section.
From here, the admin can either approve or decline the engagement under Actions.
User Dashboard > Activity
Also, the opportunity lead can see this from the opportunity page, under Engagement > Participant Engagement.
Both the user and the opportunity lead to see the user engagement as 'pending' during the approval period.

Once the engagement is approved either by the platform admin or the opportunity lead, it seems as below on the user side:

If the user logs their engagement for an opportunity that is outside of the platform, then only the platform admin will be able to approve this.
If a user has also platform admin authority, when that user logs their engagement, there will be no approval needed as this will be auto-approved.
