How to archive or unarchive an Activity

Archive an Activity along with its linked opportunities, logs and applications - and understand how unarchiving works.

Written by Sevgi Sairoglu Sezginer

Archiving an Activity is a way to retire a whole piece of delivery work and everything linked to it, while keeping the record. Because an Activity groups opportunities, logs and applications, archiving has a cascade effect - so it's worth understanding before you do it.

What happens when you archive an Activity

Archiving an Activity cascades to everything linked to it: all linked Opportunities, their logs, and their applications are archived too. This keeps the whole set of related records together.

How to archive an Activity

  1. Go to the Admin Panel and open the Activities listing.

  2. Find the Activity and, in the Actions column, click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Archive.

  4. Read and confirm the popup, which explains what to expect.

How to access archived Activities

Click the Archived folder icon (it's labelled "Archived") on the Activities listing to switch to your archived Activities.

How unarchiving works

Unarchiving is a one-way restore of the Activity only. When you unarchive an Activity:

  • The Activity itself becomes active again.

  • Linked Opportunities, logs and declined applications are not automatically restored.

  • If you need a particular linked Opportunity back, you can unarchive it individually.

What members see

If a member has a linked record on an archived Activity, they see it in read-only mode with a banner explaining it's archived.
