At Goodsted, while you post a request to get support from the community, you can post an offer to give your support to the community.
How do I post an offer?
1. Access the post an opportunity form
You can easily access this form by clicking on your profile photo as selecting 'post an opportunity' from the drop-down menu.

2. Select the type of offer you'd like to post:
We have a few types of offers you can choose from. These include:
Task: to help with a specific skilled or hands-on task.
Workshop: to conduct a workshop for multiple people to attend.
βMentoring: to give advice or expertise on a specific topic.
This will help show volunteers and members of the community what type of involvement is required for each opportunity.

3. Tell us more about your offer:
Opportunity Title: The title is the first thing the community will see - it's important it helps draw them in! Craft an engaging and enticing title by making it descriptive, highlighting your need, or something special about the opportunity. Some examples might be:
βSoil it with all your senses
βMentorship on composting and food waste diversion
Volunteer support for your local community project
Organizer / Lead: Select if the offer is led by an organization/community project.

Your Offer: This is your space to describe the skills and services that are on offer and what can applicants expect.
4. Tell us more about the supporters you're looking for:
Skills & Experience: To help you find the right match, it's critical we know what skills and expertise are you looking to share with the community. Let us know what the most important (or 'main') skill you can provide, and list up to 3 additional skills for your offer.

Next, let us know the level of experience which is required to help you achieve your goals.
5. Iron out a few of the logistics
Date: When would you like to start offering this opportunity Do you have a fixed timeframe in mind? If no, you can just select 'No, there's no start date' to keep this opportunity flexible.
βLocation: Is this an in-person or remote opportunity? Set the location accordingly.
Number: Here, it's important to get the details right. Let us know the maximum number of people you can help with this offer.

π Note: If you're not sure about the time commitment, don't worry! You can always align with your applicants depending on their needs when you first connect. However, setting a baseline here will help with setting expectations.
Deadline: Finally, is there a deadline by which you need to apply? If so, toggle this option to set a date in the calendar.

6. The final step!
Impact: Let us know which cause or impact area this opportunity is aiming to progress - this can be the impact your organization aims to achieve or the impact of this one-off project. This will help us with impact measurement and reporting!
